hobbies & interests
From time to time, I make amateur music covers-- playing either with my guitar, ukulele, electric keyboard, or saxophone. I'm currently only learning to play songs through YouTube tutorials, but I would love to start taking actual music lessons soon. I'm also fond of reading, practicing martial arts, and dabbling in a variety of artistic pastimes like acrylic painting, sketching, and creating resin jewelry.

Youtube Travel Vlog

Finishing this project might have been quite toilsome, but I genuinely had so much fun working on it and exploring the cool features of Adobe Premiere Pro.
Having her own vlog is something my sister has been daydreaming for so long, but with such a demanding job as an auditor, she felt like she'll never have the time and energy to do the tedious task of editing. So when she recently visited England, I volunteered to do the editing work for her and even designed her Youtube video thumbnail.
Seeing her truly happy with this output was a fulfilling experience for me. She was finally able to create her own Youtube channel and upload her first ever vlog. As a result, I was inspired to look for more people whom I can help with their video editing needs.

Compilation Video

Time is a very valuable resource, so I always want to be intentional in making memories that matter. I love capturing precious moments on cam, especially the ones with my family. I edited this simple video a few months back as I felt a spark of inspiration to make a short compilation of some random clips I took during our family trips.
Whenever I'm going through rough times, I noticed how simply rewatching recordings of beautiful moments instantly lifts my mood and reminds me of the many things I'm grateful for in my life.
I decided to share this on my social media accounts and was actually surprised with all the positive feedback I got from my friends. Only goes to show that fancy effects and animations aren't always necessary in creating content that tells a powerful story.

Marriage Proposal Video

Life is indeed full of surprises. Without notice, one moment can change our lives forever. Needless to say, this is definitely a life-changing moment for one of my sister's closest friends.
The groom-to-be, who's also my sister's close friend, planned this surprise proposal and asked my sister to be one of the accomplices for this momentous event.
I had the pleasure of editing the documentation video for the said event after my sister asked me to do so, because she knew very well how much I enjoy editing videos. To be honest, I really didn't mind doing it without pay as I genuinely love doing this work for other people. However, after the couple saw the finished video, they insisted on paying me. It was my first ever paid video editing gig, and I'm not complaining. ;)

Goodbyes aren't easy, but there's always something we can do to give our hearts a soft landing.
When my older sister gave us the announcement last year that she successfully got the position she was applying for in Gibraltar, it was a bittersweet moment for the family. On one hand, we felt so proud and happy for her as she's finally reaching for her dreams and getting a glimpse of the bigger world out there. On the other, we know how badly we'd miss her, so we were bracing ourselves for that dreaded goodbye.
I made this very simple video the day before her surprise farewell party, and it suddenly reminded me of the reason why I came to love video editing in the first place-it's one of my favorite ways to connect with others and express how I'm currently feeling; because I know that no matter how different our stories are, deep down, we all have something in common.

I made this reel after my family and I visited this Bali-inspired vacation spot and nature resort located in Magpet, North Cotabato. There are indeed way too many awe-inspiring places to be discovered here in the Philippines.
This type of reel became an instagram trend, so I decided to join the bandwagon and made one for my sister.

In addition to editing videos, I also have some experience with basic graphic designing.

Sample graphic designs

I designed this brochure for my younger sister's Filipino assignment. They were tasked to create a brochure pertaining to any place of their choosing.

This is the logo and banner I designed for my video editing business. I made it as minimalistic as possible, and I'm pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

"Diyosa" is a Filipino word for "goddess". I designed this simple logo for the small business we're about to launch online early January next year. We are trying to promote and support local women artisans through selling handmade self-care products.

When our audit manager got promoted as one of our audit firm's partner, I was tasked to create the congratulatory posters for the email blast. I wrote the congratulatory message on behalf of everyone and chose this powerful quote from William Arthur Ward. It was such a great reminder for all of us, especially because, at that time, the firm was going through the most challenging busy season to date.

This was the email blast I created after our virtual Christmas Party which was held in the midst of the pandemic last December 2020.

These are just some of the birthday posters I've designed for one of our audit firm's partners as well as those I've created for my co-employees during my time in the company.

These are some of my creations during the graphic design workshop I attended last year.

My very own mood board

"So this, I believe, is the central question upon which all creative living hinges: Do you have the courage to bring forth the treasures that are hidden within you?"
